"It's been 10 years since I left Hello! Project...
It’s been almost 10 years since the debut of Taiyou to Ciscomoon...
It's been 10 years since my life faced a major turning point...
In those days, I had great times. Sometimes I faced problems but everyday was very fulfilling. I ate and drank a lot. lol. I was very busy and felt like I was being dragged around from numerous concerts to the events, but nowadays, they are all great memories in my heart.
I still love Taiyou to Ciscomoon! The songs are downloaded in my iPod and categorized as my own "mega best", although the selection of the songs are very different from this "mega best" album...
But in any case, I still love Taiyou to Ciscomoon. Every day, I remind myself that I am who I am today thanks to the experiences in those days. Now that everything’s over, I'd like to make a confession... I made a mistake by singing with the wrong lyrics during the recording of our second single "Gatamekira". Please listen to the second chorus carefully. It's the part "Aishite yo Kinou yori". If you listen very carefully, you can tell that I was singing, "AishiteRU yo Kinou yori". I guess because I am such a dedicated woman, as opposed to a needy woman, I must have rearranged the words subconsciously. Lol. I'm sorry I made a mistake. But strangely, Tsunku went ahead and recorded the song. I wonder if he didn't notice my mistake... Or maybe he was satisfied with the recording? Lol. Anyway, that's it for my confession…
I, Kominato Miwa, am still singing my original songs. And I'm determined to remain as a musician."

"Hello! (in Chinese) It's RuRu.
I remember Taiyou to Ciscomoon's debut was in 1999, right? After the breakup, I went over to Taiwan and released 3 albums as a solo artist. I also appeared on TV commercials and TV dramas. I was involved in various projects in different genres as well. I was really busy back then. The albums I released in Taiwan were all in Taiwanese, which was very different from the mainland Chinese in terms of pronunciation, so I made lots of mistakes and had difficulty getting used to it at the beginning. That experience reminded me of when I had similar difficulty singing in Japanese when I was in Taiyou to Ciscomoon. It sounds like my life has been filled with difficult times, lol. But I learned and experienced a lot in those days. I was given opportunities to sing wonderful songs, so I am grateful for that.
I am still a musician in Shanghai. In 2007, I released the first solo Japanese-language cover album "Shoshin" in Japan. I never stopped thinking about Japan, so I was very happy to be able to release a CD there. I'd be happy if many people get to listen to my CD.
When I was in Taiyou to Ciscomoon, I used to travel across the country for concerts and events. I enjoyed a plenty of regional food. They are all great memories. lol. As a solo artist, I miss having other members to travel with sometimes. It’s been such a long time since we broke up, and I was wondering if everyone had forgotten about me. But I'm glad that our best album is going to be released. It would be nice if we could get together once again and perform on stage. It's fun to daydream. I'd love to meet the other members and the fans once again!
It would be nice if you could look back on memories as you listen to this album. Thank you very much!"

- RuRu from Shanghai.

"'Seriously?!' was my first response when I was told about the release of a Mega Best album!
Looking back on the memories when I was a member of Taiyou to Ciscomoon, I remember I was constantly being surprised and excited since the beginning of the audition process. lol. Even after the debut, we had an incident that we could either go on or be disbanded at any time. Also, we were only told about the following day's schedule, so we never knew what was going to happen in the long run at all.
The night before the filming of ASAYAN, I was always nervous because I wasn't sure what kind of news I was going to hear during the show. There was never a time when I felt relaxed. The days were rough... Looking back, I can say that I am grateful for the precious opportunities given to me, but back then, I was too overwhelmed and honestly, it was too much for me to bear sometimes.
In any case, I'd like to thank fans and staff for their warm support, as well as Tsunku for creating wonderful songs for us. He was normally gentle but sometimes firm and strict. I learned a lot from him. The time flew by. I can honestly say that the days I spent as Taiyou to Ciscomoon were the most passionate, exciting, and toughest of my life. And I felt the happiest during those year and a half of my career as a part of the unit!
It's been 8 years since the unit broke up, but the fans still let me know that they are looking forward to a reunion concert. It makes me happy to hear that.
I wonder if you guys are happy to have this CD in your hands. I feel like I am the most excited one in the unit, because I never dreamed about being able to deliver our CD to the fans once again. I am overwhelmed with joy and gratefulness. Please continue to provide each one of the members your warm support. And please enjoy the hit songs filled with wonderful history of Taiyou to Ciscomoon!
Taiyou & Ciscomoon Let’s start!"

Of all the memories of Taiyou to Ciscomoon, I’d like to talk about the recording session first! I was the only one who had no musical background, so I was experiencing everything for the first time. I tried so hard to keep up with the rest of the members every day!! I discovered that I had difficulty hitting certain notes, so before every recording session, I asked the members to teach me how. They never refused my favor, and they were so patient with me. I am thankful for their support.
The most unforgettable episode was when we were recording the chorus part of "Sunrise – Soredemo Hi Wa Noboru", featured in the first album. Tsunku asked me if I could sing much lower. As I gave an affirmative answer, I tried singing lower, but he kept asking me, "Much lower! Much lower!" Then he said, "You’re still hitting the same note. You just sound fuller." It was shocking since I tried so hard but my effort wasn’t getting paid off at all. I felt ashamed all of a sudden and scared because I thought I made a huge mistake. Then I heard everyone’s warm laughter outside the recording booth. At that moment, I knew everything was just fine and I felt relieved.
The members supported me throughout my career as Taiyou to Ciscomoon for a year and a half. This album is filled with such wonderful memories, and I hope you can recall your own wonderful memories as you listen to this album.
