2002-2003[]
In October 2002, Saito took part in the Morning Musume LOVE Audition 2002 for a chance to become a sixth generation member of Morning Musume, however she was declined in the first round.
On April 27, 2003, she was eventually added to the Hokkaido-based Hello! Project group Country Musume.
2007[]
She graduated from Hello! Project on January 28 at the Hello! Project 2007 Winter ~Shuuketsu! 10th Anniversary~ tour finale along with fellow Country Musume member Asami. In her graduation announcement comments she said that she looks forward to following new dreams, but would always treasure her time in Country Musume and the love the fans gave them.
2014-2017[]
In October 2014, Saito became the leader of a "priestess idol" group named Amazones,[2] but she withdrew from the group a month later.
As of 2015, she is signed as a model and actress under the agency Prestige.[3]
In March 2017, she began writing love columns for the site 4MEEE.[1]
2020[]
In January, Saito opened a second Youtube channel,[4] which represents her father's construction company, Wing Home. In this series, she and her father discuss real estate, home modifications, and solutions to common homeowner problems.
In June 2020, Saito gave an interview to Gurunavi focusing on her life as an ex-athlete.[5] While reflecting on her career in futsal, she said that Gatas Brilhantes H.P. wanted to be seen as a competitive team rather than merely "idols messing around with futsal." The strength of her teammates inspired her to become stronger herself. She accomplished this through long practice sessions and focusing on core workouts. After leaving the entertainment industry, Saito continued to play futsal in a mixed-gender league in Shizuoka. She mentioned that since her retirement, she's received training in several professions, including training as an esthetician, in Thai traditional massage, reflexology, and aromatherapy. She enjoys work in therapy because it allows her to work at her own pace.
2021[]
In May 2021, Sponichi.co.jp had an interview with Saito, where she talked about going to drinking parties and having sexual relationships in her transformation after leaving Country Musume. She is now a high-end romance advisor and real estate seller.[6]
