Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The single was originally announced on June 13, 2013 at Ikebukuro Sunshine City,[1] and re-announced on July 27, 2013.
  • This is Juice=Juice first single to have an official website.
  • This is Juice=Juice first single to have an Event V.
  • The MEMORIAL EDITs are remixes and some of the solo lines are re-distributed.
  • Otsuka Aina was originally featured in the single, but she withdrew from the group before its release.
  • The single was coincidentally released on the anniversary of Otsuka Aina's first concert as a member of Hello! Project.
  • When the MV for Romance no Tochuu was premiered on Hello! Project Station, there were brief shots where Otsuka Aina could be seen in the background. This was fixed when the official MV was released on Juice=Juice's channel.
  • There is a glimpse of Otsuka's arm and shadow in the MV for "Watashi ga Iu Mae ni Dakishimenakya ne (MEMORIAL EDIT)".
  • A group photo of Juice=Juice promoting the single with Otsuka Aina was leaked.
  • Miyazaki Yuka's hairstyle changes from straight to curly several times throughout the "Watashi ga Iu Mae ni Dakishimenakya ne (MEMORIAL EDIT)" MV, likely due to re-filming.
  • The Event V for "Romance no Tochuu" was released on September 23, 2013 and was only sold at the September 23 release event in Tokyo and the September 29 release event in Osaka.[14] The Event V features each member's solo close-ups for the single.
  • Juice=Juice has the fourth highest major-debut sales count of all the current Hello! Project groups, with 43,144 copies sold, being surpassed only by Morning Musume, Country Girls and Kobushi Factory.
  • Romance no Tochuu is the first MV to have more than 1.000.000 views on their official Youtube channel
  • It was released on the same day as THE Possible's 7th single, Otome! Be Ambitious!.
  • This was their lowest selling single until the release of Black Butterfly / Kaze ni Fukarete.
