Nishida Shiori (西田汐里) is a Japanese pop singer under Hello! Project as a member of the sub-group CHICA#TETSU and the combined group BEYOOOOONDS. She first joined Hello! Project as a member of Hello Pro Kenshuusei in August 2016.

Early Life[]

Nishida Shiori was born June 7, 2003 in Kyoto, Japan.

2016[]

In early 2016, she participated in the Morning Musume '16 Shinseiki Audition, but failed.[2]

On August 17, it was announced on the Hello! Project website that Nishida had joined Hello Pro Kenshuusei, alongside Kawamura Ayano, Yokoyama Reina, Yoshida Marie, Yamazaki Yuhane, Hashisako Rin.[3] She was introduced at Hello! Project Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2016 9gatsu ~SINGING!~ on September 4.

From November 3 to November 30, Nishida participated in the Engeki Joshibu musical Nega Poji Poji.

2017[]

Nishida was featured in Juice=Juice's "Jidanda Dance" music video as a back dancer.

On September 12, she participated in a fanclub event titled Hello Pro Kenshuusei Special Event in Nagoya ~Hajimemashite!~ alongside Eguchi Saya, Okamura Minami and Nakayama Natsume.

From October 26 to November 12, Nishida performed in the Engeki Joshibu musical Bokutachi Karen na Shounen Gasshoudan, taking on the roles of ♯ Gumi's Yoko and Yohan.

2018[]

On February 13, she participated in a fanclub event titled Hello Pro Kenshuusei Special Event in Nagoya ~Hajimemashite! 2~ at Midland Square Cinema 2 alongside Maeda Kokoro, Yamazaki Yuhane and Shimakura Rika, where she performed a cover of "Yo no Naka Barairo".

On March 20, she participated in a fanclub event titled Engeki Joshibu "Bokutachi Karen na Shounen Gasshoudan" DVD Hatsubai Kinen Special Event in Nagoya at Midland Square Cinema 2 alongside Maeda Kokoro, Noguchi Kurumi, Yonemura Kirara, Yamazaki Yuhane and Shimakura Rika.

On May 6, she won the judge's character award at the Hello! Project Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2018 ~Haru no Koukai Jitsuryoku Shindan Test~ event for her performance of "Golden Chinatown".

On June 9, during the Hello! Project Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2018 6gatsu ~Niji~ in Tokyo, it was announced that Nishida was chosen alongside Shimakura Rika and Eguchi Saya to join the new group led by Ichioka Reina that would debut later in 2018.[4]

On October 19, the name of the group led by Ichioka was announced as CHICA#TETSU. It was also announced that it would be part of the combined group BEYOOOOONDS alongside the second group Ame no Mori Kawa Umi and the Hello! Project "ONLY YOU" Audition winners.[5][6]

2019[]

On June 7, Nishida celebrated her 16th birthday at a fanclub event titled BEYOOOOONDS / CHICA#TETSU Nishida Shiori Birthday Event 2019 with two shows at TOKYO FM HALL.

On November 5, Nishida Shiori and Eguchi Saya became regulars in a new regular corner on the FM Osaka idol radio show J3 Tuesday~Midnight IQ~ (idol quest), titled "J3 Tuesday~Midnight IQ~ Madamada Kayoubi~yonds! BEYOOOOONDS QUEST!".[7]

2020[]

On July 13, it was announced that she would be one of several current and former Hello! Project members starring in a new horror television drama based on the book, Hobonichi no Kaidan. The drama began airing in August 2020.[8][9][10]

On September 1, she celebrated her 17th birthday at a fanclub event titled BEYOOOOONDS / CHICA#TETSU Nishida Shiori Birthday Event 2020 with two shows at Shinjuku ReNY.[11] In compliance with government policy, cheering, crowding, standing, and closeness in the venue were prohibited, and wearing masks were required to enter.

On December 16, she released her first solo photobook, Shiori.[12]

2021[]

On June 7, she celebrated her 18th birthday at a fanclub event titled BEYOOOOONDS / CHICA#TETSU Nishida Shiori Birthday Event 2021, featuring two shows at LANDMARK HALL.

2022[]

On January 18, she participated in BEYOOOOONDS / CHICA#TETSU Ichioka Reina Birthday Event 2022 as a MC.

On June 7, she celebrated her 19th birthday at a fanclub event titled BEYOOOOONDS / CHICA#TETSU Nishida Shiori Birthday Event 2022, featuring two shows at Tiara Koto.

On August 8, it was announced that Tsubaki Factory and BEYOOOOONDS members Yamagishi Riko, Tanimoto Ami, Asakura Kiki, Akiyama Mao, Nishida Shiori, Eguchi Saya, Maeda Kokoro, Yamazaki Yuhane, and Satoyoshi Utano would be appearing in the NHK special drama Idol, which aired on August 11. The drama is about the aspiring idols who performed at the theater Moulin Rouge Shinjukuza during the World War II era.[13]

2023[]

On June 12, she celebrated her 20th birthday at a fanclub event titled BEYOOOOONDS / CHICA#TETSU Nishida Shiori Birthday Event 2023, featuring two shows at Hitotsubashi Hall.

On August 23, she released her second solo photobook, Hatachi no Shiori.[14]

2024[]

On February 3, she was revealed to be a member of the shuffle unit GOODM!X promoting the snack company Kasugai Seika and their candy brand Tsubu Gummy.[15]

On June 7, she celebrated her 21st birthday at a fanclub event titled BEYOOOOONDS / CHICA#TETSU Nishida Shiori Birthday Event 2024, featuring two shows at Yamano Hall.

She has an older sister.
When Nishida joined CHICA#TETSU, she was in her last year of middle school. She graduated from middle school in March 2019[16] and would begin high school the following April. She graduated from high school in March 2022.
Nishida is close to Kiyono Momohime, and their pairing name is "Orihime" (おりひめ), the "Ori" coming from her name Shiori, and the "hime" coming from Kiyono's name Momohime. She also gets along well with Eguchi Saya in BEYOOOOONDS.
