Natsuyaki Miyabi (夏焼雅) is a Japanese pop singer, actress, model, and clothing designer. She is a former member of Hello! Project, having joined as a member of Hello! Project Kids in 2002 and later debuting as a member (and later sub-captain)[1] of Berryz Koubou in 2004. During her time in Hello! Project, she was also a member of Aa!, Sexy Otonajan, Buono!, BeriKyuu, DIY♡, and Mellowquad. She graduated from Hello! Project on March 3, 2015 in a joint graduation concert with the other members of Berryz Koubou. In April 2016, Natsuyaki formed and became the leader of the three-member vocal group PINK CRES..[2] In June 2021, PINK CRES. disbanded and Natsuyaki started activities as a solo talent.[3]

Early Life[]

Natsuyaki Miyabi was born on August 25, 1992 in Chiba, Japan.

2002[]

On June 30, Natsuyaki successfully passed the Hello! Project Kids Audition alongside the other members of Berryz Koubou and ℃-ute.[4] Being a member of Berryz Koubou, she also participates in the band's weekly radio show Berryz Koubou Kiritsu! Rei! Chakuseki!.

In that same year, she was cast as a character in Koinu Dan no Monogatari, however she did not have a large part due to her age. Many members of Hello! Project Kids and Morning Musume participated in this film.

2003[]

Natsuyaki was chosen to join the group Aa!, which consisted of another member of Hello! Project Kids, Suzuki Airi, and was lead by Tanaka Reina, a member of Morning Musume.[5] They released only one single: "FIRST KISS" released on October 29, 2003.[6][7]

2004[]

All of Hello! Project participated in a large shuffle group that produced one single, "All For One & One For All!". This song is considered one of the themes of Hello! Project.

2005[]

Natsuyaki became a member of Hello! Project's shuffle unit Sexy Otonajan. Like Aa!, there were only 3 members -- Fujimoto Miki from Morning Musume, Murakami Megumi from ℃-ute, and herself. Their first and only single was "Onna, Kanashii, Otona."

2007[]

Natsuyaki became a member of Buono! along side two other Hello! Project Kids, Tsugunaga Momoko from Berryz Koubou, and Suzuki Airi from ℃-ute. The unit was officially announced at the Nakayoshi Magazine Festival 2007 on July 21, at Tokyo's Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, and formed to sing both the opening theme, "Kokoro no Tamago," and ending theme, "Honto no Jibun," for the anime adaptation of the Shugo Chara! manga.[8] Buono! continued to record the ending and opening themes for the first season of the anime. As of the second season, Buono! only recorded the ending themes, as the opening themes were handled by Shugo Chara Egg! and Guardians 4, two other groups formed for the sake of performing Shugo Chara! music.

2009[]

Aa! reformed into the second generation. The second generation consisted of Suzuki Airi, Natsuyaki Miyabi and Hello Pro Kenshuusei member Saho Akari.

On July 17th, Natsuyaki appeared in her first solo Pizza-La commercial. Her commercial was a Natsuyaki Miyabi version of Buono!'s commercial for Pizza-La's French Camembert Cheese.

2010[]

Junjun, Linlin, Natsuyaki, and former Morning Musume member Kusumi Koharu performed in Shanghai during June 2010 as a special 4-member unit called Ex-ceed!.

2011[]

Natsuyaki, along with the other members of the Hello! Project Kids, starred in the horror film Ousama Game. Natsuyaki played the character Miyazaki Emi.

Natsuyaki, along with the other members of Buono!, starred in the horror film Gomennasai. Natsuyaki played the character Kurohane Hinako.

2012[]

On April 7, it was announced that Natsuyaki would miss that weekend’s Berryz Koubou Spring Concert 2012 ~Berryz Station~ concerts due to Peritonsillar Abscess.

On May 15, Natsuyaki, Sudo Maasa and Yasuda Kei performed in a comedy play titled B・B ~bumpy buddy~.

On July 20, it was announced that Natsuyaki, Yajima Maimi, Tokunaga Chinami, Nakajima Saki, and Iikubo Haruna were chosen to form the unit DIY♡.[9] The unit released an indies single, titled "Forefore ~Forest For Rest~ / Boys be ambitious!" (with GREEN FIELDS), on November 7.

2013[]

On January 2, the first day of the Hello! Project Tanjou 15 Shuunen Kinen Live 2013 Fuyu ~Viva!~ concert tour, it was announced that Natsuyaki hurt her ankle prior to the show, which made her unable to dance for half of the tour.

On March 2, at SATOYAMA e Ikou! ~Forest For Rest~, Natsuyaki was announced as a member of the new SATOUMI movement unit, Mellowquad, along with fellow Berryz Koubou member Tokunaga Chinami and ℃-ute's Yajima Maimi and Okai Chisato.

On April 3, it was announced Natsuyaki would be a regular on the radio show "BAKUNAI" as an assistant to the show's MC.

On April 30, Shimizu Saki appointed Natsuyaki the sub-captain of Berryz Koubou.[1]

On August 26, Natsuyaki had a birthday event titled "Sweetest♡time."

On September 11, on the official channel of Hello! Project, it was announced that Natsuyaki Miyabi sprained her right ankle. For this reason, some changes were made in the work Warera Jeanne ~Shoujo Seisen Kageki~.

2014[]

On August 28, Natsuyaki celebrated her 22nd birthday at an event called Berryz Koubou Natsuyaki Miyabi Birthday Event 2014, which featured two performances in Tokyo.

2015[]

On March 3, Natsuyaki graduated from Berryz Koubou and Hello! Project while still remaining under UP-FRONT PROMOTION.

On April 30, Natsuyaki began co-hosting a web show GREEN ROOM alongside fellow former Berryz Koubou member Tokunaga Chinami.

On July 1, the 2015 Natsuyaki Miyabi Shin Group Member Audition began for Natsuyaki's new idol group. She first mentioned wanting to form her own idol group in the first episode of GREEN ROOM back in April.

On December 31, Natsuyaki took part in the Hello! Project COUNTDOWN PARTY 2015 ~GOOD BYE & HELLO!~ as an MC. She also performed "Chou HAPPY SONG" with the older Hello! Project members and several songs as a member of Buono! during the second part of the concert. Buono! announced in an MC they would be holding a concert at Nippon Budokan on August 25, 2016, with ℃-ute, Country Girls, and Natsuyaki's new group.[10]

2016[]

On January 21, after Tokunaga Chinami left co-hosting the web show to study abroad last December, GREEN ROOM was renewed as Girls Night Out with Natsuyaki remaining as the main host.

On April 1, Natsuyaki's new group PINK CRES. was formed with the 2015 Natsuyaki Miyabi Shin Group Member Audition winners Nihei Yuuka and Kobayashi Hikaru.[2] She then transferred from UP-FRONT PROMOTION to UP-FRONT CREATE as part of PINK CRES..

On October 21, Natsuyaki became a ViVigirl fashion blogger for ViVi magazine's website.[11]

2018[]

On April 7, it was announced that Natsuyaki would start her own regular Niconico Live program on April 12, titled Natsuyaki Miyabi (PINK CRES.) no Girl's Scream.[12]

On June 15, Natsuyaki was revealed to be a model for VANQUISH's SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION 2018 catalog "Shibuya Seifuku" GUIDE BOOK Vol.5.[13][14]

Natsuyaki collaborated with CHEER CLOSET to open a select shop featuring clothes for both women and men that she selected on her trip to South Korea.[15] June 26 was originally scheduled to be the opening day, but it was changed to July 3.[16]

On September 23, Natsuyaki was appointed with eight other OG and active Hello! Project members from Saitama Prefecture as Host City Special Supporters for Kumagaya during the Rugby World Cup 2019 hosted by Japan.[17][18]

2019[]

On March 30, Natsuyaki unveiled her own clothing brand named PIMMY at the Asobu. Kurasu. Sodateru. SATOYAMA & SATOUMI e Ikou 2019, where she opened her first pop-up shop and produced a collaboration parka for the event.[19] She also opened a PIMMY Instagram account and launched an online store which would officially open for orders on April 1.[20][21] The brand name is an acronym of "P = pretty, I = ideal, MMY = my".[22]

On July 3, she was featured in ViVi×Beautylabo's "Vanity Color" web commercial.[23][24]

2020[]

On August 26, she graduated from her position as producer for her clothing brand, PIMMY.[25]

2021[]

On March 19, it was announced that PINK CRES. will be disbanding on June 30. After the group's disbandment, Natsuyaki will remain in the agency and will start new activities with focus on singing.[3]

On March 23, it was announced that Natsuyaki was diagnosed with acute appendicitis after reporting severe abdominal pain. As a result, she required three weeks of rest and would be absent from the March 27 through April 4 shows of the M-line Special 2021 ~Make a Wish!~ concert tour.[26]

On June 21, Natsuyaki along with Takahashi Ai and Tanaka Reina released the digital song "Oyoge! Taiyaki-kun" as the one-shot unit Taiyaki Tabeta no Nande? (たいやき たべたの なんで?; Why Did You Eat It?), abbreviated as TTN.[27]

2022[]

On April 27, Takahashi Ai, Tanaka Reina, and Natsuyaki Miyabi released the collaboration album Laugh and Peace, which features comedic songs, including previously released track "Oyoge! Taiyaki-kun".

2024[]

On March 2, she participated in Berryz Koubou 20th Anniversary Live ~Sono Subete no Ai ni Thank You~, a live event celebrating the 20th anniversary of Berryz Koubou.

Miyabi has a younger brother named Riku. Her cousin is Fujie Reina, former AKB48 and NMB48 member who is now affiliated with Itoh Company.

Natsuyaki also has a pet dog named PEACE-chan.

When Natsuyaki joined Hello! Project Kids, she was a fourth year elementary school student.[4] She graduated from high school in March 2011.

She attended the same high school as former Morning Musume member Kusumi Koharu.[28]
