  • Michiyo OFFICIAL F. C Hossoku Kinen Kkaku Shinnenkai & Hitoashi Hayai Valentine's Day

This page you made a few days ago has been added to the Candidates for deletion category. I usually lean towards leaving things even if they're pretty small or just stubs, buuuuut a page that is just a name and a single link I can see as being not enough. Something like that might be better sitting on a list of things to get to later. Do you want to add a bit more before it actually gets deleted?

    • Yeah, it should have been on a list. That was dense of me!

      I'll get to it now!

Thank you for the heads up!

  • Hey Kroed, just wanted to talk a bit about the Hello! Morning episode stuff and see how much you agree or disagree. First, I don't think individual episode pages is a bad idea. It's one of many things I thought would be neat in the "If I had infinite time" sense. BUT I think for each episode to be worth a page it would need to be pretty detailed. Like this Japanese page which has only a few dozen episodes, but quite a lot of info and screens for each one.

But for something a bit simpler like the Contents section of the page you made, yeah, I think a combined page like AnonymousBuono suggested and you already agreed with is the way to go. Maybe new pages for new seasons would be appropriate--I think trying to put hundreds of even short episode descriptions on the same page is pretty crowded and the opposite extreme to having a page per episode.

Something I've thought would be a good start for any short descriptions would be the sections they usually announce near the beginning of the episode with short descriptions--but at least for me that involves looking up a lot of unfamiliar kanji so is a slow and easy-to-mess-up process. A couple years ago I tried transcribing/romanizing/translating these segment titles for the first couple episodes and my conclusion was basically that it was more time-consuming than probably worth. Just those sections wouldn't be quite adequate anyway, since it would miss out on things like performances that happen before the main title sequence.

Another thing I've thought would be neat to include, and would be something easier on a technical level for me to accomplish, would be images like these that collect thumbnails from throughout an episode. This is also actually something I've tested a bit before. The images here were what I thought was the best result I could find at the time--I was kind of hoping to find something with just a little more control over certain things, like the display of hours and milliseconds in these images makes it seem more complicated than it need be. But compared to other programs I tried it was pretty flexible in how to scale and arrange the images, and the text actually came out more readable than ugly. I'm not married to the exact way I have things set up here, but I went with a 6x6 grid of images because I figured it was a good amount for at least catching a glimpse of any major segment--a little more or less than a minute between each image, depending on the episode length.

For the first episode you used the episode title 来週からハロモニ。スタートだ!!. I have seen this title before attached to this episode, but I'm wondering where you got it? I've never seen anything like an official episode guide, so I've never been sure if the Japanese titles I've seen attached to H!M episodes were their actual episode titles or something the people recording and sharing them added on.

    • Here's something else neat I've run across. "Hello Morning Details Database". Giant table with a ridiculous amount of info on what each episode contains. The most notable flaw is it's missing the last year or so of the show.

  • Hey, just wanted to make you aware that the better way to link to something on that wiki is to use the ufg template. Instead of [https://up-front.fandom.com/wiki/Yanagisawa_Junko Yanagisawa Junko], {{ufg|Yanagisawa Junko}}. There are a handful of similar ones for other closely related wikis at Category:Interwiki link templates.

  • About the AISHING FAIRY page and just in general - You should follow the way other pages on the wiki do things. Specifically, for references, you don't need to copy big excerpts of the original blog/tweet into the references - all you need is the title, link, date, and where it's from. Also, you don't need the sup around references either.

Side note: the wiki uses "" not «»

(This is just advice tho, you don't have to take it if you don't want to).

    • Thanks for the feedback :)

I included what I thought was needed in case the web page/twitter/blog is deleted. I'll use title, link, date, and where it's from from now on.

I can see that it is better to use one style, so I'll stick to "" from now on. The «» is from my old (dead) page about h!poldschool. I had a newer version, but it is now lost, and I don't wanna create a new page from scratch, so I try to get the older pages at this wikia up to speed (using the info from waybackmachine from my old site from 2015)..

    • It wouldn't hurt to keep the excerpts somewhere hidden in case the original pages get deleted, but when displaying on the page, you only need the title, link, date, and where it's from.

It's cool that you're getting all the older pages up to speed though!
