Matenai After Five / Kasa wo Sasu Senpai (待てないアフターファイブ／傘をさす先輩; I Can't Wait After Five / My Senior Holding Up the Umbrella) are two songs by Country Girls. They were digitally released together on August 24, 2018 as part of Upcoming's Music Delivery corner.[1][2]
The release of both songs was announced on Upcoming on August 23, 2018.[2]
Fukuda Kanon did not know that her lyrics for "Kasa wo Sasu Senpai" would be used until the release announcement and posted her surprised reaction on Twitter.[5] She sang the demo for it herself[6] which she usually only does for songs that have not been accepted yet.[7]
Meanwhile, KOUGA seemed to be unaware of the song's release date and found out from fans messaging him on Twitter that it had already been released.[8]
On her blog, Yanagawa Nanami stated that "Kasa wo Sasu Senpai" is her favorite Country Girls song to date. [9]
