Kondo Kaoru (近藤薫) is a Japanese singer-songwriter and music producer. He is also the founder of the miuzic Entertainment label and the editor-in-chief of 6notes.
Biography[]
In June 1999, Kondo debuted as the vocalist of the rock band Sweet Shop (formed in 1997) under the Polydor label. They released three albums and seven singles before disbanding 2003.
Following Sweet Shop's disbandment, he made his solo debut in 2004. His second single "Hello & Goodbye" became a hit after being used as the ending theme song for The Prince of Tennis: The National Tournament OVA.
At the same time, Kondo made his debut as a songwriter for artists such as V6, Tegomass, AKB48, Tohoshinki, Go Hiromi, and Hello! Project. He created his own music label named miuzic Entertainment in April 2011.
In April 2013, he became a music instructor at the International Academy of Media, a voice acting school directed by Horikawa Ryo.
In June 2016, Kondo opened and became the editor-in-chief of the music information site 6notes.
