Early Life[]
Kasai Yuumi was born on July 30, 2003 in Yamanashi, Japan.
From 2015 through 2019, she was signed to Amuse Talent as an actress and model in their Kids' division.[2][3] Her contract expired on March 31, 2019.[4]
2021[]
On July 7, Kasai was announced as one of the winners of the Hello! Project "Juice=Juice" "Tsubaki Factory" Goudou Shin Member Audition audition and would join Tsubaki Factory alongside Yagi Shiori, Fukuda Marine, and Yofu Runo.[5]
2022[]
On January 27, it was announced that Kasai Yuumi had tested positive for COVID-19 by PCR test. As a result, the January 29 and 30 shows of the Hello! Project 2022 Winter ~LOVE & PEACE~ tour was cancelled, and the Tsubaki Factory Kishimoto Yumeno×Akiyama Mao×Fukuda Marine FC Event 2022 ~Chou Chou Chou Nen2~ in Osaka was also cancelled.[6][7]
On August 2, she celebrated her 19th birthday at a fanclub event titled Tsubaki Factory Kasai Yuumi Birthday Event 2022, which featured two shows at LANDMARK HALL.
On November 20, it was announced that Kasai was diagnosed with COVID-19 again. Kasai had symptoms of headache and sore throat on the night of November 18, and after she did a PCR test in the following day, a positive reaction for COVID-19 was confirmed. As a result, she would be absent from the last two concerts of the Tsubaki Factory CONCERT TOUR ~Fomalhaut~ scheduled for November 20 and November 23. In addition, it was announced that none of the remaining Tsubaki Factory members and staff were classified as close contacts of Kasai, neither that they had changes in their health conditions.[8]
2023[]
On August 1, she celebrated her 20th birthday at a fanclub event titled Tsubaki Factory Kasai Yuumi Birthday Event 2023, which featured two shows at Yamano Hall.
On August 11, Kasai was appointed as a hockey ambassador of the Japan Hockey Association at the opening ceremony of the 46th All Japan Youth Sports Club Exchange Tournament.[9][10]
2024[]
On February 2, she was revealed to be a member of the shuffle unit GOODM!X promoting the snack company Kasugai Seika and their candy brand Tsubu Gummy.[11]
On April 4, she opened an Instagram account.[12]
On August 1, she celebrated her 21st birthday at a fanclub event titled Tsubaki Factory Kasai Yuumi Birthday Event 2024, which featured two shows at Tower Hall Funabori.
2025[]
On July 30, she celebrated her 22nd birthday at a fanclub event titled Tsubaki Factory Kasai Yuumi Birthday Event 2025, which featured two shows at Hulic Hall Tokyo.
Personal Life[]
She has an older sister. Her mother passed away when she was 2 years old, and she was raised by her father.[verification needed] She has a cat named Mimi (みみ). She calls her Mimi-chan (みみちゃん).
When Kasai joined Tsubaki Factory, she was in her third year of high school. As of March 2022, she graduated from high school.
Kasai was a field hockey keeper for 6 years, from her fourth year of elementary school to her third year of middle school.[13]
Kasai gets along best with Fukuda Marine in Tsubaki Factory.
