Their generation mate Sayashi Riho jokingly calls them "Business PonPon" (ビジネスぽんぽん)[68] because they always act happy with each other on stage and on camera, but behind-the-scenes they do not always see eye-to-eye.[69]
- Ishida Ayumi: Ikuta was given the pairing name "Suberi Combi" (スベリコンビ; Bomber Combi) with Ishida, but are now more commonly referred to as "Suberizu" or "Suberies" (スベリーズ). The name is taken from the word suberi-gei, a style of comedy with failing jokes, because the two of them make bad jokes.[70] In addition, they are often teamed up together to perform acrobatics for concerts.[71]

Ikuta's grandmother gave her the name Erina so she would not have to worry about life's necessities.[78] 衣 (e) was taken from "clothing" (衣類); 梨 (ri), which means "pear", represents food and water; and 奈 (na) was taken from Nara Prefecture (奈良), where it is airy and seems to be a peaceful place to live.[79]
Here is a list of nicknames that was used to refer to Ikuta Erina:
- Eripon (えりぽん): Her official nickname originated by Tsunku.
