Manga inspired by the bus tour
Iida Kaori - Maeda Yuki no "Otona no Tanabata Matsuri" Higaeri Bus Ryoku (飯田圭織・前田有紀の"大人の七夕祭り"日帰りバス旅行) was a fan club bus tour by Iida Kaori and Maeda Yuki. It was a one-day trip to Sagami Lake Picnic Land held on July 7, 2007.
Background[]
On the evening of Friday, July 6, 2007, a minute after the fans departed on the bus, the tour crew announced the news to the fans that Iida was pregnant and that she was going to marry former vocalist Kenji of the rock band, 7HOUSE. The first car was quiet, while the second and third cars gave Iida good blessings.[1]
The tour also became infamous and was called "Idol-kai Saidai no Kichiku Jiken" or "The Biggest Devil Incident in the Idol World", because:
- Iida announced her marriage the day before the bus tour.
- Participation fee of 19,000 yen included a BBQ, you got one sausage on an aluminum plate, and 1/3 of a banana for dessert, and 1.5 liter of Oolong tea to be split between eight people produced by Kikkoman (known for their soy sauce) (later discountinued). Beer was sold seperatly for 500 yen. (But they did also get onions, pumpkin and onigiri).
- Half of the fans were left in a huge maze.
- Crying/vomiting fans (probably due to the humidity).
Fans who attended the bus tour continue to gather at a park, on the same day every year for a barbecue as an anniversary to the bus tour.

- On July 7, 2020 news reported that the maze would be closing due to deterioration. The news article also references Iida's bus tour, 13 years after it was held[2].
