Statement from Ichioka Reina[3]
Thank you for always supporting me.

Hello everyone, it's been a long time. This is Ichioka Reina.

Since December, I've been on break from my activities due to poor health and I truly apologize for the inconvenience this has caused fans and everyone else.

Though there are times when my health is good, ultimately it's unstable and I have decided to graduate because returning under these circumstances will be very difficult.

To the members of BEYOOOOONDS who filled in for me at concerts and on the radio while I was on hiatus, I appreciate it so much. Thank you.

It's been 12 years since I entered Hello Project as a trainee, and this August will mark 5 years since BEYOOOOONDS' major debut.

I've known that this was something I want to do since I was little! I wasn't always thinking about it, but when I auditioned, even though I didn't pass, I decided "I definitely want to debut as an idol in Hello! Project!" A dream I found via my own will. All the happy and frustrating times in Hello! Pro Kenshuusei. Being able to work as a member of BEYOOOOONDS and CHICA#TETSU, there are so many memories that I can't put into words.

To everyone who found and watched over me, in this age of so many idols: truly, thank you so much. I'm sorry that I'm unable to express my gratitude to you directly.

Thank you for all the comments on my blog, even while I was on break. I still read all of them. If the memory of me lingers somewhere in your heart, that's enough to make me happy.

BEYOOOOONDS (and CHICA#TETSU, Ame no Mori Kawa Umi, and SeasoningS) is a group with an unusual approach compared to the rest of Hello! Project. They have so many good qualities! I'm sure they'll continue to bring you performances that grow your imagination and evoke a kinder world. Thank you for your continued support of BEYOOOOONDS, CHICA#TETSU, Ame no Mori Kawa Umi, and SeasoningS. I'm cheering for them right along with you.

To the members, staff, and everyone else, and to all the fans who have supported me: thank you for all of your love.

    Trivia[]

    • She was in acting club at her school, however she had little confidence in acting, so she wanted to become an idol instead.
    • She wanted to join Hello Pro Kenshuusei because she had been going to Morning Musume lives and wanted to join Hello! Project too.
    • She thinks she won't lose to any other member in her smile and power.
    • She wants to be an idol that makes people who come to see her say, "She has such a nice smile."
    • In the March 2014 issue of Gekkan Entame, she was ranked as the member who "eats the most" in Hello Pro Kenshuusei.[29]
    • For her, the hardest thing about being a Hello Pro Kenshuusei was when she wasn't chosen to perform at certain Hello! Project concerts.
    • She wants to try singing "Kimi Sae Ireba Nani mo Iranai" by Morning Musume.
    • Her rivals in Hello Pro Kenshuusei were her generation-mates, but also Sasaki Rikako and Murota Mizuki. Once they left or made their debut, her rival became her last remaining generation mate Kaga Kaede.
    • She wants to become an "adult" in her ways of thinking.

    • Tsunku's comments: "Let's go further with your dancing. But you do have some sensuality in your expressions. Don't give up halfway through, let's follow through decisively until the end. You're developing rapidly in that regard, so work on your dancing first, and then your singing."
    • She has said that the person she looks up to in Hello! Project is 9th generation Morning Musume member Suzuki Kanon. She gave Kanon special handmade chocolates on Valentine's Day.
    • She got praised by adviser Shimizu Saki for her harmonization skills.
    • Her future goal is modeling and acting in a drama.
    • It was her mother that cheered her on since she was a Kenshuusei, so she was told the debut news first.
    • It took over 14 months for her group to make its stage debut at the Hello! Project 20th Anniversary!! Hello! Project 2018 SUMMER concert tour.
