Hoshibe Sho (星部ショウ) is a Japanese lyricist, composer, and arranger working for UP-FRONT GROUP.

Biography[]

Hoshibe Sho was born in 1985 in the Tohoku region. He learned to play the guitar at the age of 12 and took an interest in composing music. After graduating from high school, Hoshibe moved to Tokyo to attend a music school.

He was a participant in UP-FRONT's Dai 2kai Forest Award NEW FACE Audition in 2012.[1] He began his career in 2015, writing various songs for Hello! Project.

Hoshibe has kept his identity private since the beginning of his career, only making rare appearances on radio programs or in magazine interviews. On August 25 and September 1, 2019, he appeared as guest on the radio program DAIV TO MUSIC hosted by Hyadain.[2][3] A spin-off YouTube video was later uploaded on September 6, in which Hoshibe made his first visible media appearance, though his face was partially obscured by BEYOOOOONDS glasses.[4][5][6]
