Horie Kizuki (堀江葵月), also simply known as KIZUKI, is a Japanese dancer. She is a former member of Hello Pro Kenshuusei under Hello! Project. As of October 2019, she and her sister, Mizuki, run a studio named KIDS POWER SPORTS ACADEMY.
Prior to joining Hello Pro Kenshuusei, she was a member of NICE GIRL Project! Kenshuusei. She is also a former member of the idol group B-FLY!.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Horie Kizuki was born on May 14, 1998 in Kiyose, Tokyo, Japan.
2012-2013[]
In 2012, Horie was a member of ZAWA Girl Project's B-FLY!, a local idol group.
On October 14, 2013, she was officially unveiled as a new NICE GIRL Project! Kenshuusei during Trainees Collection vol.7 at AKIBA Cultures Theater. She was designated as a senbatsu member and appeared at various events as a representative of NICE GIRL Project! Kenshuusei starting in January 2014.
2014[]
On November 16, NICE GIRL Project! Kenshuusei appeared on stage for the last time during Iwai THE Possible JAPAN Tour 2014 ~FINAL~ at Nakano Sun Plaza. Soon after, Hashimoto Nagisa, Horie Kizuki, Ogata Risa, Shimano Momoko, Hirose Ayaka, and Inoue Rei were given the opportunity to become a member of Hello Pro Kenshuusei, transferring from TNX to UP-FRONT PROMOTION and joining Hello! Project. She was formally introduced during the Hello Pro Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2014 ~11gatsu・12gatsu no Nama Tamago Show!~ on November 29 alongside the former NICE GIRL Project! trainees and three other girls.
2015[]
In 2015, Horie was featured in the music video for ℃-ute's 27th single A-side "Tsugi no Kado wo Magare" alongside Kaga Kaede, Yamagishi Riko, and Ichioka Reina as back-up dancers.
On May 4, Horie won the judge's best character award at the Hello Pro Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2015 ~Haru no Koukai Jitsuryoku Shindan Test~ event for her performance of "Shabondama".
2016[]
Horie participated as the opening act and a backdancer in the ℃-ute Concert Tour 2016 Haru ~℃ONCERTO~, ℃-ute 12 Nenme Totsunyuu Kinen ~℃-Fes! Part 1 9gatsu 5ka mo ℃-ute no Hi at Nippon Budokan~, and ℃-ute Concert Tour 2016 Aki ~℃OMPASS~.
From November 3 to November 20, Horie participated in the Engeki Joshibu musical Nega Poji Poji.
2017[]
In 2017, Horie was featured as a back-up dancer in ℃-ute's "To Tomorrow" music video.
From March 19 to July 8, Horie was a dancer for Michishige Sayumi's comeback performance, SAYUMINGLANDOLL ~Saisei~.[1]
On May 5, Horie won the judge's dance award at the Hello! Project Kenshuusei Happyoukai 2017 ~Haru no Koukai Jitsuryoku Shindan Test~ event for her performance of "Wasureta Ageru".
From October 26 to November 12, she performed in the Engeki Joshibu musical Bokutachi Karen na Shounen Gasshoudan.
2018[]
From March 20 to July 8, Horie performed in Michishige Sayumi's second performance series, SAYUMINGLANDOLL ~Shukumei~.[2]
On May 11, Horie appeared on Fuji TV's Bakushou Sokkuri Monomane Kouhaku Uta Gassen as a back-up dancer for former ℃-ute member Okai Chisato alongside Ono Kotomi, Maeda Kokoro and Kanatsu Mizuki.
On August 9, it was revealed in a Twitter post by Kitabayashi Asuka, Horie's dance partner in the SAYUMINGLANDOLL series, that Horie had become a dancer in Team 445,[3] YOSHIKO's choreography team.[4]
On August 24, it was announced that Horie had completed her training and therefore left Hello Pro Kenshuusei alongside Kanatsu Mizuki.[5]
2019[]
Horie returned to public eye as a dancer in the Pretty Cure 15 Shuunen Anniversary Live ~15☆Dreams Come True~ on January 19 and 20, after which she opened a Twitter account.[6]
On April 12 and 21, Horie and her older sister Mizuki were back-up dancers for Suzuki Airi's birthday event, Suzuki Airi Birthday Event 2019 Dai 2kai Airi Mania Kai.[7][8]
On September 3, she and her sister announced they would open a studio in October in their hometown Kiyose named KIDS POWER SPORTS ACADEMY with dance, yoga, acrobatics, and all-around sports classes for children and adults. They also adopted the simplified instructor names KIZUKI and MIZUKI.[9]
2020[]
On February 19, she appeared at choreographer YOSHIKO's event YOSHIKO-sensei Hello Pro Furitsuke 20shuunen Kinen team445 Dummy Fes. ~"Kiiroi Osora de BOOM BOOM BOOM" kara 20nen☆Furitsuke Zen 494 Kyoku kara Episode Digest~ at Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo.[10] She was one of the members of the dance unit Team445, and had rehearsed for four months as part of the unit to perform the dances of songs that YOSHIKO had choreographed at the event.[11]
