Hello! Project presents... "Solo Fes! 2" (Hello!Project presents…「ソロフェス!2」) is an one-episode television special that aired on August 16, 2021 through TV Asahi Channel 1 and SKY PerfecTV! On Demand. Like its predecessor, it feature solo performances by each of the members from Morning Musume '21, ANGERME, Juice=Juice, Tsubaki Factory, and BEYOOOOONDS. From June 4 to June 10, 2021, fans could request a member to sing their favorite song either on Twitter using the hashtag "#ハロプロソロフェス" or through the application form on TV Asahi's official website.[1]

On August 13, BS SKY PerfecTV! aired a special show before the broadcast of the main show featuring a lottery to decide the performances order and a special footage from the first Solo Fes. On September 12, TV Asahi Channel 1 aired a behind-the-scenes special of the show, including the MIP ceremony.

A Blu-ray of the show was available to pre-order for Hello! Project fanclub members and for M-line club official fanclub members from September 1 to September 28, 2021, and for the UP-FRONT WORKS Web Store advance pre-orders from September 15 to October 10, with delivery scheduled for late November 2021.[2][3] It was released for general sale on December 15, 2021. The blu-ray also includes behind-the-scenes footage as bonus content.

MVP[]

The participating Hello! Project members voted for the members (up to 3 members) who performed the best, being named the MVP. With 21 votes, Nonaka Miki won MVP. As her prize, she was given the chance to produce her own show that aired on TV Asahi Channel 1 on October 23, 2021 at 16:00 JST. The show is titled Miki Nonaka presents... Morning Musume '21 ~SONGS FOR YOU~.[4]

MIP[]

In addition, there was also a MIP (Most Impressive Performer) award, which was defined by TV Asahi subscribers votes and by the judges Makoto, Suzuki Airi, Yajima Maimi, Takahashi Ai, DJ KOO, and Shibata Aribobo. The subscribers votes were accepted through an application form in the special site of the show on TV Asahi's website from August 16 to August 23, and the voters could choose up to 3 different members.[5] The MIP ceremony was aired on September 12, in the behind-the-scenes special of the show. The selected members between the judges were given 1 point each, and the most voted members by the subscribers were given a different amount of points: 1st place gets 3 points, 2nd place gets 2 points, and 3rd place gets 1 point. With a total of 4 points, Tamenaga Shion won MIP. There were a total of 3,778 participants and 11,334 votes. As a prize, a billboard of Tamenaga congratulating her MIP win was placed in Takeshita, being there from September 14 until September 20.[6][7]
