Trivia[]

  • The show was filmed in late June 2020 at COTTON CLUB in Tokyo.
  • Juice=Juice's "Pop Music" was used as background music towards the start and the end of the show.
  • Oota Haruka did not participate in the show due to her activities within ANGERME being temporarily suspended for rule violations since February 28, 2020.[6]
  • The members were given free reign to produce their own performances, and many of them put an original spin on the songs they performed. Examples include Kitagawa Rio and Ono Mizuho playing the flute, Kudo Yume bringing her octopus plush toy on stage, or Kiyono Momohime using a talk box.
  • As part of her performance, Ikuta Erina took a break mid-song to eat ramen and take a selfie, which she later uploaded to Instagram shortly after the show finished airing.[7] Onoda Saori also took selfies during her performance, and shared them in a blog post after the show finished airing.[8]
  • Yamagishi Riko incorporated the use of a chair into her performance, inspired by when ℃-ute did it at their concert. Yamagishi herself had selected the chair she wanted to use, an 8,990 yen NORRARYD model from IKEA, and had her father help her bring it to the venue.[9]
  • Kawamura Ayano, MVP winner of Solo Fes, had included tap dancing in her performance. She later revealed in a lengthy blog post that she had learned tap dancing in elementary and junior high school, but had not practiced it since she moved to Tokyo. A choreographer helped her learn tap dancing again for the performance.[10]
  • During the show's premiere, "#ソロフェス" became a trending topic on Twitter in Japan.
  • Shortly after the show's premiere, Mano Erina posted a few tweets on Twitter thanking Kobayashi Honoka for performing one of her songs on the show. She also thanked Kobayashi for posting a blog naming Mano as her inspiration when it comes to piano-playing idols.[11][12]
  • A recording of BEYOOOOONDS's Yamazaki Yuhane performing Matsuura Aya's "Kiseki no Kaori Dance." at Hello! Project presents... "Solo Fes!" was included in the compilation album, Hello! Project no Zenkyoku kara Atsumechaimashita! Vol.7.[13]
