July 10, 2025 - Haga Akane and Yokoyama Reina to graduate from Morning Musume '25 and Hello! Project
On July 10, it was announced that Morning Musume '25 members Haga Akane and Yokoyama Reina will both graduate from the group and Hello! Project after this year's autumn concert tour. Both members had expressed a desire to continue with different paths, and had been discussing the timing of their graduations since 2023. As a result, it was decided that both of them will graduate together this fall.
Both Haga and Yokoyama initially joined Hello! Project as members of Hello Pro Kenshuusei, with Haga joining on September 22, 2013, and Yokoyama joining on August 17, 2016. Haga was selected to join Morning Musume on September 30, 2014 as part of its 12th generation alongside Ogata Haruna, Nonaka Miki, and Makino Maria. Yokoyama joined Morning Musume alongside Kaga Kaede on December 12, 2016 as a 13th generation member.
More details about their graduations will be announced at a later date.
July 8, 2025 - Ikuta Erina graduates from Morning Musume '25 and Hello! Project; Nonaka Miki to succeed as leader and Makino Maria as a second sub-leader
Ikuta joined Morning Musume and Hello! Project on January 2, 2011, as one of the winners of the Morning Musume 9ki Audition, alongside Fukumura Mizuki, Sayashi Riho, and Suzuki Kanon. She was appointed as a sub-leader of the group on November 27, 2014, and after over 9 years, she became the leader of Morning Musume on November 30, 2023, following Fukumura's graduation. Ikuta announced her graduation on January 2, 2025, which coincided with the 14th anniversary of her announcement as a member.
A week prior to the performance, on July 1, it was announced that 12th generation member Nonaka Miki would succeed Ikuta as the leader of Morning Musume, while fellow 12th generation member Makino Maria will serve as a second sub-leader to Oda Sakura, who has been serving as a sub-leader since 2023.
At her graduation performance, Ikuta performed a solo version of Shinnen dake wa Tsuranukitoose!, which was originally performed by herself, Michishige Sayumi, Sayashi Riho, Suzuki Kanon, and Iikubo Haruna back in 2012. With a tenure of more than 14 years, Ikuta is the longest serving member of Morning Musume. She will continue her activities in the entertainment industry.
July 4, 2025 - Kitagawa Rio to resume activities in Morning Musume '25
On July 4, it was announced through Hello! Project’s official website that Morning Musume '25 member Kitagawa Rio is planning to continue her activities with the group starting this autumn. She will not participate in Ikuta Erina's graduation concert on July 8, and she will also be absent for the entirety of Hello! Con 2025.
Kitagawa had been on a self-imposed hiatus since April of this year due to rule violations. As a result, she was absent from the group's spring concert tour starting from the April 19 performance, and did not participate in any of the tracks from their 75th single.
July 1, 2025 - Oda Sakura to graduate from Morning Musume '26 and Hello! Project; new structure of Morning Musume '25
On July 1, it was announced through Hello Project's website the new structure of Morning Musume '25 following Ikuta Erina's graduation on July 8. In the announcement, it was revealed that 12th generation member Nonaka Miki will succeed Ikuta as the group's new leader, while fellow 12th generation member Makino Maria will be appointed as a new sub-leader alongside current sub-leader Oda Sakura.
Along with the announcement, it was revealed that Oda Sakura will be graduating from Morning Musume and Hello! Project in 2026.
Oda began discussing plans for her graduation around 2023, and with Ikuta's graduation becoming concrete in 2024, further discussions about the next leader of the group were held and the timing of Oda's graduation was decided in this process. For this reason, Nonaka will be taking the leader position while Oda will remain as sub-leader up until her graduation. Details regrading her graduation will be announced as soon as they are decided.
Oda joined Hello! Project on November 12, 2011 as a 13th generation member of Hello Pro Egg at a fanclub event. On September 14, 2012, she was announced as the winner of Morning Musume 11th Generation ~Suppin Utahime~ Audition and joined Morning Musume as its sole 11th generation member. On November 25, 2023, with the announcement of the group's new structure following Fukumura Mizuki's graduation, Oda was appointed as the group's new sub-leader alongside Ishida Ayumi, who had been serving as a sub-leader since 2018.
June 20, 2025 - New member(s) of Juice=Juice to be revealed on June 23
On June 20, a surprise video was posted onto Juice=Juice's social media accounts, in which they teased that a new member would be joining the group. The member(s), who will be promoted from Hello Pro Kenshuusei, will be revealed at the Juice=Juice Concert Tour 2025 Crimson×Azure Special at Nippon Budokan on June 23.
Kamikokuryo joined ANGERME and Hello! Project on November 11, 2015, as the sole winner of the 2015 ANGERME Shin Member Audition. On June 11, 2023, it was announced that Kamikokuryo would succeed Takeuchi Akari as ANGERME's leader following Takeuchi's own graduation on June 22. Kamikokuryo announced her graduation on December 20, 2024.
A month prior to the Yokohama Arena performance, on May 13, it was announced that Ise Layla would succeed Kamikokuryo as the new leader of ANGERME. The sub-leader position, which had been vacant since Kawamura Ayano's 2024 graduation, would be passed to Tamenaga Shion.
At her graduation performance, Kamikokuryo performed a solo version of Kaeritakunai na., which is originally from ANGERME's third album. She plans to study abroad for some time before continuing her activities in the entertainment industry.
At her graduation concert, Shimakura performed a cover of Buono!'s Hoshi no Hitsujitachi. Her graduation concert took place exactly seven years after she was announced to be debuting within Hello! Project. Shimakura will study English abroad before continuing her activities in the entertainment industry singing Showa-era songs.
