Hello! Project "Morning Musume '22" "Juice=Juice" Goudou Shin Member Audition (ハロー！プロジェクト「モーニング娘。'22」「Juice=Juice」合同新メンバーオーディション) was a joint audition for new members of Morning Musume '22 and Juice=Juice.
The audition searched for girls who love Morning Musume '22, Juice=Juice, and Hello! Project, love to sing and dance, are confident in singing and dancing, want to take advantage of their personal strengths and special skills, and want to find their "new self". Winners had a chance to join either group.
The winners were announced in a special episode of the Hello! Project Station on June 29, 2022, at 10pm JST.[1]
Audition Details[]
- Application Requirements:
- Female, living in Japan, enrolled in the fifth year of elementary school up to the second year of high school as of January 2, 2022.
- Must not currently be under contract with any agencies.
- Must have consent from legal guardian if under the age of 15.
- Only those who are able to attend lessons in Tokyo were eligible to pass the audition.
- Those that have also applied to the Hello Pro Kenshuusei audition may still apply.

Audition Process[]
First Round[]
The application deadline was on February 9, 2022 (at 10 a.m. for web applications). Applicants who pass the first screening (application) would be notified by mid-March and proceed to the second screening (online interview).
Screening of the primary documents was completed on February 28, 2022, and it was announced that successful applicants would be sent information on the second round screening through an e-mail.[2]
Second Round[]
On March 30, it was announced that the second round was finished and only continuing candidates would be contacted by mail.[3]
Third Round[]
On May 6, it was announced that the third round has been completed and the results will be mailed out one by one. Those who passed will be sent an invitation for the next round.[4]
Final Round[]
The finalists had to sing ""Hitori de Ikiraresou" tte Sore tte Nee, Homete Iru no?" and "I WISH" in solo. They also had to dance a "Hello! Project Dance Club" style choreography.
There were a total of 4 finalists:
- Sakurai Rio, 16
- Shimoitani Yukiho, 15
- Endo Akari, 14
- Kamimura Rena, 12

Audition Winners: Sakurai Rio, Endo Akari, Ishiyama Sakura
The winners were announced on June 29 in a special episode of the Hello! Project Station, at 10pm JST, with one of them joining as a sole 16th generation member of Morning Musume and one joining Juice=Juice:
- Sakurai Rio (櫻井梨央), 16 (joined Morning Musume '22)
- Endo Akari (遠藤彩加里), 14 (joined Juice=Juice)
There was also a member who was promoted from Hello Pro Kenshuusei:
- Ishiyama Sakura (石山咲良), 18 (joined Juice=Juice)

- The audition was officially announced at the beginning of Hello! Project 2022 Winter ~LOVE & PEACE~ by Fukumura Mizuki.
- Hello Pro Kenshuusei trainees will be screened for their aptitude through daily training activities.
- This is the second time Juice=Juice has held a joint audition for new members.
- Shimoitani Yukiho and Kamimura Rena later joined Hello Pro Kenshuusei as the 34th generation.
- Shimoitani Yukiho joined ANGERME as the 11th generation member in May 2023.
- Kamimura Rena later debuted in Rosy Chronicle in June 2024.
