Hello! Morning (ハロー!モーニング。), also often abbreviated as Haromoni (ハロモニ), was a weekly television show starring the lead Hello! Project group Morning Musume (although originally, all Hello! Project members were featured). It aired from 11:30 to 12:30 on Sundays on TV Tokyo. It was on the air from April 2000 until April 2007. The theme song for the show was Hello! no Theme.

The last episode of Hello! Morning was aired April 1, 2007 after 354 episodes. The show was replaced with a new show called Haromoni@, which was somewhat shorter and had a different concept.

    • The Morning Musume members talk with each other about allocated topics, often accompanied by celebrities.
  • T&C Bomber no Skill-Up Kouza (T&Cボンバーのスキルアップ講座, T&C Bomber's Skill-Up Course) Episode 001-005, 009-013,
    • The members of T&C Bomber teach the Hello! Project members a different skill each episode based on their own talents. For example, Kominato Miwa teaches Min'yo singing. T&C bomber ended up graduating before each member could showcase their own talent.
  • Ballerina Sentai Melon (バレリーナ戦隊メロン, Ballerina Squadron Melon) Episode 001-005, 007, 009-014, 016-020
    • A skit featuring the members of Melon Kinenbi, where they portray 4 high-schoolers who live a double life as both ballerinas and heroes, defeating various villains.
  • Last Phrase wo Utaccha Dame! (ラストフレーズを歌っちゃダメ!Don't Sing the Last Phrase!) Episode 018-024, 026-039, 042-
    • Various Hello! Project members sing Hello! Project songs karaoke-style - except the aim of this game is to not sing the last phrase! If a member ends up singing the last phrase/line of a song, they have to forfeit.
  • Charemoni (チャレモニ。Challenge Morning Musume) Episode 026-038, 042-043
    • A few members of Morning Musume (Usually Nakazawa Yuko, Iida Kaori, Abe Natsumi and Yasuda Kei) will participate in different challenges, like skip-rope jumping or playing hand bells. This is hosted by Ishikawa Rika playing a personality called Charmy.
  • Minimoni Chiccha~! (ミニモニ。ちっちゃ~!, Minimoni Small!) Episode 026-038, 042
    • Segment featuring the members of Minimoni.
  • Yossie no You CHECK IT OUT YO! (ヨッスィ―の要 CHECK IT OUT YO! Yossie's YO CHECK IT OUT YO!) Episode 028-038, 042
    • A small segment with Yoshizawa Hitomi reading out answers from Morning Musume members to different questions - things like their favorite food or colour.
  • Minimoni Kappa no Hanamichi (ミニモニ。河童の花道) Episode 129-179
    • Minimoni. as Kappa
  • Minimoni Yonkyuusan (ミニモニ。四休さん) Episode 180-
    • Minimoni. as buddhist monk apprentices challenging guests with quiz, the losers will be hit by a giant Teru teru bozu.

Trivia[]

  • The show uses a lot of video game original soundtracks, such as Katamari Damacy and Guitar Freaks.
  • The program is best known outside of Japan due to the "Dramatic Chipmunk" meme, where a clip of the Minimoni members interacting with a prairie dog during a Minimoni Chiccha segment was uploaded to YouTube in 2007 and became viral, gaining millions of views on the platform.
