Furukawa Konatsu (古川小夏) is a former 1st generation member of Hello Pro Egg, as well as a former member of Up Up Girls (Kakko Kari). She was also the former leader of K-Pop dance cover group UFZS.

2004[]

Furukawa Konatsu joined Hello! Project as a member of Hello Pro Egg in June 2004 when she passed the auditions along with thirty-one other girls.

2005[]

In October, it was announced that Furukawa along with several eggs would form part of the unit Tomoiki Ki wo Uetai. The unit ended up only releasing one single called Minna no Ki in 2006.

2006[]

From October 5-9, she participated in the stage play "Kenroh -KENROH-".[1]

2007[]

From September 21-30, Furukawa appeared in the stage play "Ekubo ~people song" alongside Maeda Yuuka.[2]

2010[]

In October, Furukawa participated in the ℃-ute musical Akuma no Tsubuyaki. The play ran from October 13th through the 22nd.

2011[]

On January 31, it was announced that Furukawa completed her training within Hello Pro Egg.[3]

On February 22, a K-Pop cover dance group called UFZS was formed with Furukawa, Mori Saki, Sato Ayano, Sekine Azusa, and Arai Manami.

On March 3, it was revealed that Furukawa, along with Sengoku Minami and the other members of UFZS, will be members of a new group called Up-Front Girls (Kakko Kari).

On May 9, Furukawa starred in the TV drama Getsuyou Golden ~Tsuri Deka 2~ as the character Ogasawara Miyuki.

Furukawa starred in the movie Cheerfu11y as the chairman. The movie released on October 22nd.

2012[]

Furukawa starred in the movie Atsuhime number 1 as the character Miho. The movie released on April 7th.

2013[]

On January 28, Furukawa starred in the TV drama Kinyo Prestige "Shokatsu Deka 8" as the character Furuya Masumi.

Furukawa had a small role in a 2 part horror movie titled Ada ~ADA~. The movie was directed by Koji Shiraishi and was released on July 13.

2015[]

On November 10 and 11, Furukawa appeared in the stage play Gakuya ~Makenki~ alongside Takahashi Ai and other former Hello! Project members.[4]

2017[]

On December 20, Furukawa was announced as a founding member of the UP-FRONT esports club.[5]

2020[]

On October 23, it was announced that Furukawa Konatsu, Mori Saki, Saho Akari, and Arai Manami would be graduating prior to the start of the group's new system, leaving Sekine Azusa as the sole remaining original member. The group would hold a final live event as five titled "Up Up Girls (Kakko Kari) FIVE SOUL FOREVER" on December 17 in Zepp Tokyo and a farewell party, which was being planned.[6] Of the graduating members, only Mori Saki plans on retiring from the entertainment industry.[7]

On December 26 and 27, the graduating members held a private graduation ceremony event titled "Up Up Girls (Kakko Kari) Sotsugyou Ceremony ~Tabidachi no Aisatsu~".[8] On December 27, there was also a graduation ceremony which featured all five members, titled "Up Up Girls (Kakko Kari) 5-ri no Sotsugyou Ceremony ~Tabidachi no Aisatsu~".[9]

On December 31, Furukawa Konatsu, Mori Saki, Saho Akari, and Arai Manami officially completed activities with Up Up Girls (Kakko Kari) after performing at the annual year-end Momoiro Clover Z Uta Gassen concert.[10][11] Afterwards, Furukawa Konatsu left both YU-M Entertainment and UP-FRONT CREATE.[12]

2023[]

On May 23, it was revealed that Furukawa was secretly working backstage with the staging guidance of Up Up Girls (Kakko Kari) in the last two years, and that she was also in charge of the choreography of the song "Ippome no YES!", which was the group's first release under the 2021 new system. In the announcement, it was explained that she might appear in their SNS posts sometimes but to keep in mind that she is a backstage staff member, even if she appears in their live venues.[13][14]
