Mika is Mika Todd‘s first music release after graduating from Hello! Project. She had joined P-PRO Entertainment agency in 2005, and released this mini-album covering famous jazz songs by artists like James Moody, Roberta Flack and Etta James. The song "You Took My Breath Away" is an original written and composed by Mika Todd. The album is produced by Shiro Gutzie, and was recorded at Superb Records Studio in Los Angeles, on April 18th and April 23rd, 2005. Johnny Todd (her father, a jazz pianist) did all the arrangements for the tracks.
