DANCE & CHANCE is Coconuts Musume's second single, released only one month after their debut single. It was released in Taiwan on August 12, 1999, and in Japan on August 25, 1999. It reached #86 on the Oricon charts, selling 2.740 copies.

"DANCE & CHANCE" appears on the album Petit Best ~Ki Ao Aka~.

This is the last single for Chelsea and April. In January of 2001, it was announced that they had graduated from the group to continue their education back in Hawaii. Rumors and speculations tell that the girls had problems adjusting to life and culture in Japan as they spoke no Japanese, and had wished to go back home permanently.

Trivia

Comments

The girls said in an interview:

Chelsea: I think ‘Halation Summer’ was a really cute song. But our real nature isn’t comical and cute.

Mika: It's like ‘Halation Summer’ was a song for me, and the coupling song ‘Summer Night Town (English Version)’ was a song for the sexy Chelsea, Danielle, and April. (lol) So maybe ‘Dance & Chance’ will be a blend of everybody?
