The first press of the regular editions came with a random trading card of 14 kinds depending on the jackets (28 in total). Limited Edition SP came with an event lottery serial number card.
This is the last single to feature 12th generation member Ogata Haruna.

Trivia
- The single was announced on May 5, 2018 at the Morning Musume Tanjou 20 Shuunen Kinen Concert Tour 2018 Haru ~We are MORNING MUSUME~ in Hokkaido.[12]
- This is the first single to not feature Kudo Haruka since "Kono Chikyuu no Heiwa wo Honki de Negatterun da yo!".
- "A gonna" is a pun on the phrase "ee gana" (ええがな), which is Kansai dialect for "ii ja nai ka" (いいじゃないか), meaning "why not?" or "who cares?".
- The "Are you Happy?" music video was shot at Fuefukigawa Fruit Park in Yamanishi Prefecture.[13][14] The indoor plaza was also the location for T&C Bomber's "HEY! Mahiru no Shinkirou".
- This is the first single to sell over 100,000 copies on the first day since "Tsumetai Kaze to Kataomoi / ENDLESS SKY / One and Only" in 2015, which it also reached daily #1 on the Oricon singles chart, easily beating "F.L.Y. BOYS F.L.Y. GIRLS" by LDH group GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE by over 24,000 copies.
- This is the first weekly #1 to feature the 13th and 14th generations.
- This is the last weekly #1 to feature Ogata Haruna.
- In a Billboard Japan interview with the 12th generation members, Ogata revealed that the single was recorded while she was still waiting for the results of her university entrance exams and had not yet made the decision to graduate.[15]
