Abe Asami (阿部麻美) is a Japanese pop singer and idol, once managed by UP-FRONT PROMOTION. She was part of the Up-Front group HAPPY! STYLE and part of Hello! Project as a member of SI☆NA. She left the agency entirely following the disbandment of SI☆NA on April 17, 2011.
Biography
2005
In October 2005, It was announced that Abe Asami, along with four others, passed the "2005 Hello! Pro Kansai Auditions". The other winners being Iwashima Manami, Nakayama Nana, Suma Ai, and Maeda Irori.
2006
On August 25, 2006, Abe and the other winners from the Kansai auditions made their first public appearance, opening a ℃-ute event by performing three Hello! Project songs. They were first announced on "Hello! Pro Yanen" on the 11th of August. She did the role of Chava in Fiddler on the Roof.
2007
In June 2007, Abe was a guest presenter for "MJTV Chotto Kiiteyo!".
2008
In April 12, 2008, It was announced that Abe and three other Hello! Project Kansai members have "graduated" as trainees, and formed their own unit: SI☆NA.
In 2008, She joined the Up-Front's HAPPY! STYLE, along with other SI☆NA members.
2009
In April 2009, She appeared as a regular on the show "Ahoya nen! Sukiya nen!" on Thursdays until 2010.
2011
In April 2011, She enrolled at a vocational beauty school called "Beru~eberu".
On April 17, 2011, the group SI☆NA disbanded.
