ANGERME ONLY ONE Audition ~Watashi wo Tsukuru no wa Watashi~ (アンジュルムONLY ONEオーディション～私を創るのは私～) is an audition for 9th generation member(s) to join ANGERME. The audition was announced on January 2, 2020 at Hello! Project 2020 Winter HELLO! PROJECT IS [ ] ~side A~.[1] The application process began on January 11 and the deadline to submit an application was February 25.[2][3]
The audition is searching for girls who love ANGERME and Hello! Project, love to sing and dance and are confident in singing and dancing, want to take advantage of their personal strengths and special skills, and want to find their "new self".
Audition Details
- Application Requirements:
- Female, minimum of 11 years of age and maximum of 18 years of age within the application period.
- Must not currently be under contract with any agencies.
- Must have consent from legal guardian if under age.
- Application Deadline: February 25, 2020
Audition Process
First Round
The application deadline was February 25, 2020 (at 10:00 AM for web applications). On March 12, it was announced that application screening was completed and candidates who passed into the second round would receive their results in the mail.
Second Round
Due to the spread of the coronavirus infection, they have decided for the health and safety of those participating, the second round screening would be conducted in a different form. They sent information to registered e-mail addresses for details (scheduled to be distributed by March 30).
On April 17, 2020, it was announced that the second round had concluded, and successful applicants would receive their results by mail. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the third round of the audition would be adjusted and officially announced later.
Third Round
On June 2, it was announced that the audition would be proceeding, and those who moved on would be contacted by mail.
Trivia
- This is ANGERME's first general audition in four years since the 2015 ANGERME Shin Member Audition, which resulted in the joining of 4th generation member Kamikokuryo Moe.[1] The 5th through 8th generation members have all been additions from Hello Pro Kenshuusei, except for Ise Layla, who was selected from BEYOOOOONDS' Hello! Project "ONLY YOU" Audition after she failed the third round.
